The visual reading series „Visionen Neue Deutsche Dramatik“ of Goethe institute Osaka is presenting contemporary German theatre plays to a Japanese audience.
Ibrahim Amirs dystopic comedy „Homohalal“, about the aftermath of the refugee wave in Europe 2016, was staged in Awaza Rise Tower for the first time in Japan in November 2019.
How do Japanese people relate to this political matter?
On first glance the Japanese audience does not seam to have a personal history with refugees. But how about the second look? How does Japan deal with integration in history and today?
